Each book has an NFT QR code that links to a unique entry in a decentralized registry
Book holders can enter/edit relevant information (location & availability)
Search and Discovery
Users can search for books by conventional criteria (title, author, genre)
Advanced searches leverage subjective and contextual graphs (social, community, trust, knowledge)
Geographical distance is also a key search criteria
User Interaction
Interacting with other users is optional, ensuring privacy and autonomy
Encourages community building around shared interests
Flexible Availability
Books can be made available on nearly any terms (according to individual preferences), to be borrowed locally and/or returned within any arbitrary amount of time, borrowed without restrictions, on trade, for purchase, etc.
Gating and Filters
Users can set filters, such as requiring a financial deposit or restricting availability to trusted community members, etc.
Social Media Integration
We’re already building infrastructure to decentralize social media by incentivizing interoperability between social media applications (web2 & web3) and aggregate social graphs for users, in order to create a shared network effect and eliminate the inherent winner-take-all-dynamic
This infrastructure can be leveraged to support pseudonymous participation (preserving privacy), while simultaneously allowing people to build and leverage trust within and across communities.

We can have an Airtable form with only 2 fields: ISBN (description could include a link to https://www.google.com/search?q=isbn+barcode+scanner) and owner address (or ENS name).
The form could feed a table with these fields and also needs to be populated (manually initially, automatically later).
The owner has an API for that.
Then, we can have another table for various status.
These could have a list of types (borrow within optional deposit and deadline), transfer (with optional purchase price set from the library).
